Is it just me, or does it feel like Go Go is on the verge of breaking through and reshaping the sound of hip hop for the next few years, much like Dr. Dre and Death Row did in the 90s?
First, N.E.R.D dropped that wild, off the wall track "Everyone Nose," which I honestly had on repeat every morning for three straight weeks.
Then came all the buzz around Wale, pronounced WAH LAY, his signing with Mark Ronson, and that brilliant new mixtape, A Mixtape About Nothing (yes, the Seinfeld inspired one).
Now we have this new video from The Roots featuring Chrisette Michele, and who shows up? Wale again, riding a serious Go Go rhythm that refuses to be ignored.
It is starting to feel like a movement. We might all need to make our way to Howard’s homecoming next year or hit up the CBC just to witness firsthand what is really bubbling in the District.
The Roots ft. Wale & Chrisette Michele - Rising Up
N.E.R.D - Everyone Nose
Wale - "W.A.L.E.D.A.N.C.E"
Wale - Nike Boots
Just to take it a bit back. Most non Marylanders first introduction to that Go Go groove.

Nice to have something new to read!!! Missed the daily blogs!!
What up GVG,
It's definitely good to see something positive coming out of the Baltimore-DC area for once. (besides that oh so famous video of that teacher gettting assaulted by that student) *cough*. Wale is definitely starting to get the shine he deserves.
